Lingo Review
Lingo provides both consumer and business VoIP plans. They focus on unlimited calling, with plans offering unlimited calling both within the U.S./Canada area and to up to 30 countries.
The Lingo service works through a broadband connection. You receive a box that plugs into your Internet connection and gives you a regular phone jack. A number of special features are included, such as voicemail, call waiting, and the ability to have a toll-free number.
Although most of the Lingo features are not revolutionary, the service is a good way to save money by dropping your regular telephone company. Consumer plans have a 3 month introductory offer of $4.95/month, rising to $21.95 thereafter for unlimited worldwide calling. There are also less expensive plans for the U.S. and Canada – please visit Lingo’s site for more details.
Lingo business starts at $39.95, rising to $79.95 for unlimited international calling to 30 countries. Although the service does not include the fancy features of some business VoIP, the pricing is competitive for companies that do a lot of calling abroad.
